Action A1: Meetings with National stakeholders

Three main national stakeholders in the field of nature conservation are regularly engaged in the LIFE Saving Buskett project to update on progress, share knowledge and experience, and cooperate in the communication, education and public awareness activities.

These stakeholders include the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA), formerly part of the Malta Environment and Planning Authority (MEPA), which is the national agency responsible for environmental regulation in Malta. Our contact persons at ERA are Mr Darrin Stevens and Ms Raffaella Zammit.

The other two stakeholders are prominent local Non-Governmental Organisations, namely Nature Trust Malta (NTM) and BirdLife Malta (BLM). These NGOs have been involved in the management of our local natural heritage for many years. Our contact persons are Mr Johann Gatt (NTM) and Mr Ray Vella (BLM).
